The Beekman Residence
Opulent, old-world characteristics are explored in a contemporary interpretation in this two-bedroom apartment in the Beekman Hotel and Residences in NYC’s Financial District. Immaculately restored Gilded Age architectural features of the Beekman — a 19th-century landmark — inspired the residence’s interior. The furnishings collection references different points in time and areas of the world. It includes Mexican Arturo Pani lounge chairs as well as a French Cesar Putzyés light fixture. The Stephen deStaebler sculpture Leg with Blue Wing symbolizes fragility and perseverance. Numerous warm light sources speak to the city’s atmosphere at night.
