Hudson Valley Glass House
This 1960s property is nestled in the Hudson Valley woodland. The Client was drawn to the rigor and organization of its plan and cell-like glass facades. The design of the interiors involved employing objects and materials with a sense of history, balancing their practical and poetic qualities. It also considered how the internal spaces would be experienced through the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. The visual connections between out and in became paramount, and close attention was paid to the silhouettes viewed from the grounds—balancing positive and negative space through distinctive shapes—while ensuring harmony with the nature enjoyed from within.
