Central Park Pied-à-Terre
The 1500 square feet apartment, located on the 40th floor of The Sheffield in New York City’s Upper West Side was designed as a pied-à-terre for Clients from Germany.
The concept was to create a modern yet comfortable space, that would mostly be neutral with a few energizing elements, creating a unique character and expressing the Clients personal style. The color scheme is composed of soft whites, creams, grays and taupes with black and dark brown accents. The various textures of felt wool, silk, aloe, hemp, stone-washed linen, hand-made pottery and waxed oak provide a visual interest and a tactile experience. The Client’s photography collation is an important element.
